The 2011 Barking Beauty was this past Sunday and we had the pleasure of photographing the contestants once again.
This year was to benefit the Sarge Fund. Helping promote the adoption of older dogs and fix the bad name that pit-bull type breads have unjustly acquired over the past 10 years.
Cubby took top honors – along with many other ribbons, but all the dogs were winners.

Rufus and his camera shy companion enjoy long walks around the park and looking adorable on the front porch.
Sometimes, just sometimes, I can’t remember a dogs name. No matter how hard I try.
I know it will come to me later.
This is the second Cooper we photographed for the 2012 AWA Calendar. His bright personality matches his bright coat.
We love photographing this lovable dogs almost as much as we love seeing them get such great homes.
Bethany is one of the fastest dogs I’ve ever seen. She takes off like a rocket and goes and goes and goes.
I love the different color eyes and big pink tongue.
Kayla was the first dog we photographed at Timber Creek Park on Chews Landing Road in Glendora.
Kayla really enjoys her early morning walks with the family through the wooded trails.
She’s not a big fan of the water, but we were lucky enough to get a few great photos of her looking out over the creek.
Bullet – Named for an unfortunate event where he was on the wrong end of a bb-gun and some bad intentions.
Luckily he was saved and now lives a wonderful life with his new owners.
Bullet is one of the friendliest cats I’ve photographed. A great success story for the Animal Welfare Association.
Miss. Lilly serenaded me with a lovely rendition of “You Are My Sunshine” as well as a little Tony Bennett.
She’s adorable, don’t you think?
Honey is quite the model with her pretty bow and matching scarf.
She really enjoyed getting her photo taken while we played in the grass.
