John Connolly Memorial Park – Voorhees Township

Connolly Park is a great place to photograph your little friend. The dog runs are much larger than Cooper River and the park space is quite a bit newer. (opened to the public in 2002)

I love shooting in the afternoon with the sun setting over the hills. We can get some great action shots here or make use of the 3 gazebos for special memories. One hill in particular is great for getting strong, proud images of your 4 legged friend. There is also a playground if you want to bring little humans with you as well 🙂

You should be aware that large parts of the big dog area are covered in dirt. There are areas of grass inside the runs, but if you’re looking for a lot of off leash grass shots I’d recommend Freedom Park in Medford.

I find the entrance to the park a little odd. It’s right next to the Voorhees water tower and it almost looks like you are entering an industrial park. But don’t worry, after you get past the entrance the giant park really is spectacular.

John Connolly Memorial Park features include:

  • 2 large chain link enclosed dog runs with double gated entry – 1 run for dogs under 30 lbs. and 1 run for dogs over 30 lbs.
  • hills and jogging trail for on leash photos and excercise
  • gazebo
  • disposal bag dispensers
  • parking lot
  • bench seating
  • lighting

Roughly it’s at 751 Centennial Blvd in Voorhees NJ 08034
