John Connolly Memorial Park – Voorhees Township

Connolly Park is a great place to photograph your little friend. The dog runs are much larger than Cooper River and the park space is quite a bit newer. (opened to the public in 2002)

I love shooting in the afternoon with the sun setting over the hills. We can get some great action shots here or make use of the 3 gazebos for special memories. One hill in particular is great for getting strong, proud images of your 4 legged friend. There is also a playground if you want to bring little humans with you as well

You should be aware that large parts of the big dog area are covered in dirt. There are areas of grass inside the runs, but if you’re looking for a lot of off leash grass shots I’d recommend Freedom Park in Medford.

I find the entrance to the park a little odd. It’s right next to the Voorhees water tower and it almost looks like you are entering an industrial park. But don’t worry, after you get past the entrance the giant park really is spectacular.

Cooper River Dog Park

The “Pooch Park” at Cooper River is a good place for capturing photos of your dog.
I personally like the rivers edge as a backdrop along with the Philadelphia skyline.

We start inside the dog park with great action shots and some close ups.
We then take the retractable leash and head out to the rest of the park.

Your little friend will look great, feel great, and have a lot of fun on this shoot.

Cooper River Pooch Park

Pooch Park is located in Cooper River Park at the far easterly end of North Park Drive, in Cherry Hill. From Rt. 70 in Pennsauken, take the Cuthbert Boulevard South jughandle. Turn left onto North Park Drive behind the Hilton Hotel. North Park Drive ends at the dog park parking lot.

Camden County’s leash free pooch park currently features:

2 vinyl coated chain link enclosed dog runs with double gated entry – 1 run for dogs under 30 lbs. and 1 run for dogs over 30 lbs.
water fountain with dog bowl – (Works only in the spring, summer and fall, bring water in the winter.)

Freedom Park – Medford, NJ

Freedom Park is great. It’s an incredibly large park with lots of room for off leash pictures and romps.

There is a stream and several grassy areas.

You need to bring your own water and clean up bags.

It’s heavily wooded around the park, but not a lot of fences.

I was worried the first time I brought my boxer to the park, but my worries were unfounded. With all the excitement and other dogs we had no trouble getting her stay in the defined area.

There are children’s play areas, restrooms, and all kinds of other amenities at the park. You cannot see the play area from the dog run. The dog areas are completely surrounded by woods – Great for taking photographs
