Laurel Acres Park

Laurel Acres Park, located in Mount Laurel NJ is a large well manicured park that has a variety of backgrounds that work well with dogs. There is also a fenced dog park to let your pooch get the extra energy out, the dog run is not suitable for photos though. So all shots will be on leash with us removing the leashes in photoshop.

Items I like about the park:
Easy access to photographic areas.
Large hill for interesting skylines and angles on the photos.
Wooded areas including a large weeping willow and a beautiful tree that turns a fire red in the fall.
Water fountain in the middle of a man made lake.
Nice paved walking path.
We’ve seen deer on the edges of the woods as well.

Items to keep in mind:
Park can be busy with lots of other people.
There are other dogs going to and from the dog park.

We park at the lot on Church Street:
1045 S. Church Street, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054

John Connolly Memorial Park – Voorhees Township

Connolly Park is a great place to photograph your little friend. The dog runs are much larger than Cooper River and the park space is quite a bit newer. (opened to the public in 2002)

I love shooting in the afternoon with the sun setting over the hills. We can get some great action shots here or make use of the 3 gazebos for special memories. One hill in particular is great for getting strong, proud images of your 4 legged friend. There is also a playground if you want to bring little humans with you as well :)

Freedom Park – Medford, NJ

Freedom Park is great. It’s an incredibly large park with lots of room for off leash pictures and romps.

There is a stream and several grassy areas.

You can see some images we took in this Boxer Meet Up Gallery.

You need to bring your own water and clean up bags.

It’s heavily wooded around the park, but not a lot of fences.

I was worried the first time I brought my boxer to the park, but my worries were unfounded. With all the excitement and other dogs we had no trouble getting her stay in the defined area.

There are children’s play areas, restrooms, and all kinds of other amenities at the park. You cannot see the play area from the dog run. The dog areas are completely surrounded by woods – Great for taking photographs ;)
